Seven principles of Japanese Design
Get rid of gorgeous, simple things can naturally express their true side. Neat, clean, not complicated.
first of all, I would like to say that I was influenced by Japanese design only in the past few years. I used to like things from Europe. Because of learning languages, I was more inclined to things with French complex, more casual, and liked romantic lines or shapes. I especially like Hall. In recent years, due to exposure to some Japanese culture, including a visit by myself, I was able to learn more about Japanese design culture (but it is far from enough unless I live there), Japan, Germany is a very good countries in the design atmosphere, on the one hand, their design education is very perfect, on the other hand, they do have food, clothing, housing and transportation, daily life, and reflect their intentions in all aspects, as well as "people-oriented". It can be said that the details of the whole social design are integrated into all aspects, which can be said to be relatively mature. the improvement of the design power of a country is the improvement of the overall level, not just the promotion of a few designers, but the whole including the beginning of the design. from the production to the streamline to the advertising to the sales form, the improvement of the whole process, and will not be attributed to just a few designers. At present, the domestic "design", "designer's life or taste" has been over-publicized and even consumed, taking design as the label. In fact, from everyone's perspective, the works tend to be empty in generalities. Here, I think there is something to learn from Japanese design in humility.
if you want to talk at length about Japanese design, you can probably write a lot of papers. Here is an excerpt from waibi-sabi about the principles of Japanese design.
